Building 1/12 Ducati Panigale S Day-2

Day 2 progress.
Only had a few hours as I am busy with something else earlier.
Tying to find a good mixture of thinner and paint.
Tested each different mixture on cheap plastic spoon bought at nearby Mini Market (RM 1.50 for >30 pcs)
Those spoon will be a paint card or a paint reference for future reference.
Do wash it first, as some may have some oil/chemical on it during the production which prevent the paint coating the spoon.

On this kit, I am only able to hand painting it as I don't have the luxury of space to setup an airbrush workstation in my house.

After a few trial and error, I decided on a 3 layer thin coat of paint to prevent brushmark to appear on the kit.
Had to wait a few hours for each coat to cure, be patient or there will be smudge and ugly thick paint on the kit.
I'll take a close up pics next time. (only my handphone at the time)

Ran out of thinner. Maybe I hadn't store it well for the last few months or years. Had to go with IPA (IsoProphyl Alcohol). Paint cure quite fast which is good for some cases but not to my liking at the moment.
To look out for a thinner and retarder next time.
